A common question we get is, "can you install a Split system for climate control in a cannabis facility?" The answer is yes, but there are some challenges as the system may not be able to keep up. Split systems are a low investment and easy to install but due to minimal dehumidification control these systems are designed to work best in residential environments. Cannabis in different growth stages releases heat and humidity at various levels which can cause a system designed for residential comfort cooling to fall short. Additional dehumidification and humidification systems may need to be installed. Since these humidification systems emit heat they will be working against your cooling system resulting in poor comfort for your plants and higher operating expenses.
